Psst! You’re invited to the oh-so-intimate launch party for the frank theatre’s 2025/2026 season. Slip inside East Van’s best kept “secret” — the factory-turned-arts-hub PL 1422. There, you’ll sip clandestine cocktails, experience illicit drag, dance to deviant DJs, and be the first to hear about our upcoming shows. From Indigenous romance-thrillers to queer teen vampires, our season is sure to titillate and entrance you. In a time when 2SLGBTQ+ existence is criminalized, we’re celebrating the transgressive brilliance of trans and QTBIPOC creators. All event proceeds will go towards fundraising for our artists and future productions.

Accessibility:

• Progress Lab is a wheelchair accessible venue with gender-neutral bathrooms.

• Accessibility Audit for Progress Lab (There has been one change since the audit, which is that there is now a wheelchair accessible bathroom with the door swinging outwards instead of inwards, with the space between the door and the sink measuring 33.5 inches wide.)

• Visual Story for Progress Lab created by Neworld Theatre.

• Masks are optional for this event, based on attendee’s comfort.

• We encourage folks to refrain from wearing scents or fragrances, if possible.
